Matt qualified as an architect in 2019 and has gained design expertise in paragraph 84 houses whilst also working on some of S&J’s most iconic heritage buildings.

Being awarded First Class Masters Honours with Distinction in 2017, Matt also won the AHR Yorkshire Creativity Prize. A passion for contemporary design and responsive architecture is what drives Matt to continue his creative development within the field.

Given the sensitivities of some application sites, Matt has been involved in several appeal cases and has provided material acting as an expert witness within judicial review.

Matt returns to The University of Huddersfield School of Architecture & Design to offer guest critiques and presentations of S&J p84 case studies to both the undergraduate student body and Masters students.
